Psalm 86:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Se-lah.
Mark 4:37-40 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is that ye have no faith?
There is nothing that could happen to us that God wouldn’t be there. He is always there for us, He is our strength. With Him here we have no reason to fear. Though everything around us seems to be going wrong, we have no reason to fear. Jesus calmed the wind and seas. If He has created everything, can’t He control everything?
