John 15:9 – As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:13 – Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Luke 23:33-34, 44-46 – And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (44) And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We do not only have Christ’s love, but we have the greatest love! He told us He loved us, He told us what the greatest love was, and He demonstrated this great love. God could have just said, “I love you.” And be done with it. But no! He wanted much more. He wanted and wants us to know how much He loves us. He loved us so much, that He gave His ONLY Son to die for us. People who turned their back on Him. He has a never-ending love!
