I think about being conformed into the image of Christ sometimes and I picture a piece of plastic being stretched to its limit over a lamp. Stretched but not broken. Stretched to the point of being transparently thin. Stretched so thin that the light of the Son shines through in all His glory and power. Stretched to the limit by testing and tribulations in our lives, yet kept together by faith in God, who can do everything and more than could be imagined. Stretched thin by this world and the evil it affords yet that is when Christ’s light shines through as He abides in our hearts. Again, His glory, His power, shining through. More of Him and less and less and less of us!
His image coming through.
