Faith not Works

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 2:7-8 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us form all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

I know, salvation is NOT by works. BUT being a Christian should cause you to do good works. You cannot profess to know God if everything you do is against Him. Our works aren’t to keep salvation, but they are to be examples. We need to present ourselves in a way that makes those around us wonder. We are called to be a peculiar people. Good works (or obeying God) should just be something that naturally flows out of a Christian.
